“ A literal hidden gem that'll steal your heart (and taste buds). Tucked unassumingly inside a plain commercial building, Baklava Story is the definition of don't judge a book by its cover. Step inside, and you're instantly met with warm smiles by the staff--and better yet--a complimentary sample of their baklava that will absolutely blow your mind. I tried both the pistachio and walnut varieties, and let me tell you: one bite and I was floating. We're talking golden, flaky layers that melt in your mouth, kissed with a whisper of syrup that's just the right amount of sweet. It's buttery. It's warm. It's pure, unfiltered bliss. The kind of dessert that makes you close your eyes and savor every second. They offer trays of 12 or 35--and honestly, once you taste it, you'll wish you bought double. Every piece is handcrafted with love, using insanely fresh, high-quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. This spot is a treasure. Easy to miss if you're not looking, but unforgettable once you've found it. Do yourself a favor: go, indulge, and thank me later. ”
“ LIVED UP TO THE HYPE! I am from Dubai and can confirm Baklava story has the freshest pistachio, crispiest filo layer, and lightly sweet syrup. You can tell their ingredients are top quality and baked to perfection. Definitely recommend placing an order ahead on Instagram and showing up on time to collect your request as they get very very busy. It's also pricey at $27 for 12 pieces but worth it for a special occasion. I just wish they sold by the piece as well and expanded their menu with kunafa or shaabiyat/warbaat! ”
“ 2,000 / 5 stars, absolutely amazing and delicious and fabulous. Yes it's a dramatic review but I'm utterly in love. The best baklava I've ever had- their pistachio. (Granted, I have yet to try their walnut ones). Whatever pistachio nut they are using, they're are so fragrant and floral. It's crispy and sweet but not overly so. I had 6 in one sitting... had three more pieces the next day. Immediately shared a few with some friends and everyone was sold. Great for day to day enjoyment. Would be an amazing gift or house warming. Picnics, birthdays, for work, etc. Overall, unquestionably wonderful. ”
“ This shit made me nuuuuut. They give you a sample as soon as you walk in and it damn near made my knees weak. I was quibberin fr Pistachio Baklava (10/10): Got a tray of 12 pistachio baklava for $25. Ate the entire tray in one go in the car and made $25 feel like nothing. Spawn kill. Made other baklava look like gas station baklava. When I say this is the best thing ive ever had, please do not take that with a grain of salt. This was the perfect amount of sweetness, unlike any of the baklava I've ever had in my life. Other ones have tasted suuuuuper duper sweet, suuuuper duper spiced (with some exceptions of course), but this just blew everything out of the water. I will be coming back time and time and time again (coming back today after having it yesterday), and I will be sending my offspring here for generations to come. I will never eat baklava from anywhere else ever again. Unless I go to the UAE and can expect the same thing. Walnut Baklava (10/10): SAME DEAL ”
“ First time having the fresh out of oven Baklava. This place makes Walnut and Pistachio Baklava with fresh ingredients. The green grass Pistachio nuts filling is thick, but soft and moist. On the pricey side, a tiny dozen in a small tray for $27. You can not buy less. Or should you? Warm sample is given without ask. I support authentic small local businesses. ”
“ I've recently tried a sample at an event and thought it was the best baklava I've ever had even when compared to my travels to the Middle East and Asia. The biggest difference is that it's not super sweet. I came in around 10:30am on a Saturday to pick up a tray for a party that night. This is a take out only place. There's no seating. Note: do place an order in advance by calling especially for a weekend. We had to return at 1pm to pick up a tray of pistachio because they were filling preorders. They also have them with walnuts and that was ready within 10 minutes at the time but I wanted to stick with the classic pistachio filling. Unfortunately they don't sell them by the piece but my partner and I were offered a sample before purchase. It was still warm. Still, I like mine to be at room temperature to allow the flavors to meld. We were advised to eat it upside down. I guess to minimize mess when biting into the flaky top, but I honestly didn't think it made a difference. Eat it how you want to. They also sell Kaymak in a little refrigerator. I was told to spread it on top of the pistachios. I may try it next time. ”
“ Incredible baklava. Walked into this place and was given a free sample of their baklava. Absolutely terrific. Light dough that isn't too dense or too airy - the right amount of crunch. Filling is a rich sweetness that doesn't overpower the nut flavor while keeping it decadent and moist. Pistachio and walnut both available and good. The pistachio is somewhat simpler without the rose water that I usually like, but some of the best baklava I've ever had. Only downside is you have to order a whole time for 25 bucks. Comes about to be about $2 per square which is fine for the quality but sometimes you don't want 12 pieces! Doing smaller 4 piece trays for $12 seems like a winning move. ”
“ Absolutely delicious! They only offer walnut and pistachio baklavas in trays of 12. For larger trays, I believe you have to preorder on their website or by phone. The baklavas are super crispy and the flavor is amazing. The walnut one is less sweet but the pistachio one has more of a nutty fragrance. The store is located in a convenient area with lots of street parking. The store itself is just a giant kitchen with a small counter to order and pay so don't expect to be coming here for a coffee chat or study day. ”
“ The best baklava you can find in the bay. You have to try this place! The owner is Turkish and super friendly. When you walk in, they immediately give you a sample to try! They serve pistachio and walnut flavors. Both are delicious. Note: when I tried to order pistachio on a Friday afternoon, they had run out! Be sure to call ahead to reserve. The boxes are made fresh to order. The price is around $27 per small tray (12 pieces) so it's not too cheap, but worth it. Crispy, thin layers, not too sweet, full of nuts. The workers are kind as well and greet you when you walk in. This is a grab and go type of spot. Love this place! ”
